Only a short drive from the Banff Townsite to access, Sunshine Meadows is a unique region of the Canadian Rockies and well suited to all ability levels of eager mountain traveler. While much of the height of the Continental Divide is covered in glaciers and high peaks, this small 15km long stretch of between Citadel Pass and the Monarch Peaks lies a mixture of gentle rolling sub-alpine terrain perfect for those looking to experience some of the best hiking the Canadian Rockies has to offer, a centerpiece of which are a spectacular array of wildflowers found nowhere else in the range.

Nearby lies the Sunshine Village Ski Area. A shuttle or ride on the Gondola will deliver us the Village itself at 2200m and the start of our day.
